Q: How much will my mural cost?
A: Pricing is dependent on size, detail, and wall surface. A small shed mural can cost as little as $500. Most of my other murals start at $1000. I do require a 30% deposit to begin designs and lock your spot in on the schedule. Have a budget in mind? Let me know upfront and I will design something within that range!
Q: Do I need to prepare the wall?
A: If you have the skills to patch a wall or want to hire a contractor first for prep, yes. If not, please ask me! Bad prep work will almost always show and distract from your beautiful mural. I have a background as a painting contractor and am happy to fix these issues for an additional fee. The same sentiment applies to power washing an outdoor wall before my arrival.
Q: How long will the mural last?
A: If your mural is exposed to outdoor elements it can remain intact for up to ten years. I use professional UV-resistant products and also offer an anti-graffiti clear coat for an additional cost. If your indoor mural is located in a high traffic area (like a pediatric dental office or other business that sees a lot of little hands) I also offer a clear coat for an additional cost.
Q: What is the design process like?
A: If possible, I like to first meet and see the space in person. We can talk about design ideas, budgets, and timelines. After, I send a free mood board, you choose your favorite elements, you pay a 30% deposit, and I create a design. Your design will be drawn on top of a photo of the mural wall to ensure we both know exactly what to expect.
Q: I want a mural for my child’s school or local library, how do I get funding?
A: I’m happy to work with school officials and small businesses to submit mural inquiries to available grants. I also lead hands-on mural demonstrations with middle school and high school students.
